Repairing MySQL databases Print

From time to time, due to various factors, databases can become corrupt, causing websites not to function properly anymore. Fixing this, hwoever, is not a difficult task and can easily be done via cPanel.

In order to do this, you would need to follow this procedure:

  • Log into your cPanel account.
  • Go to MySQL Databases
  • Under Modify, use 'Check DB'
  • Select the database you want to check for errors
  • Click 'Check DB'


If an error is found, you just have to use the 'Repair DB' option, which would attempt of getting rid of it and repairing your database.

Please note that before doing this, it is recommended that you do a backup of the database.
